Like a peacock on amphetamines.

You can stream the new Arctic Monkeys’ album Suck it and See on their website. It’s really very good. It’s like the best of the first three albums rolled into one plus a 60s feel, and some Stooges influence in there too. I’ve been listening all day. I’m lucky enough to be seeing them on the 10th June in their home town, and my adopted home town, Sheffield. I’ve got a week to learn the words to all the new songs, which would be easier if exams weren’t around.

Now that there’s only around a week left of my freshers year, I’ve been feeling pretty nostalgic. It’s been such an incredible year, so much has happened. Looking back at photos just a few months old, it really hits me how massively things have changed. What I got up to in the first term is a massive contrast to life now. I suppose the key is to combine having fun with not being a dickhead.

I haven’t done anything that’s been photographed really, at least not photographs I could post on the internet. But I usually give you one, so here’s an old classic. It’s me and my mate Josh flanking Rupert Grint in the VIP bit at V Festival, 2009. He’s wearing a hat we picked up from one of the stalls/shops, and gave him for his birthday, a birthday we share.
